Amy Holden’s Wedding Day
Back in September I had the pleasure of doing the makeup and hair for Amy Holden and her bridal party.
Amy got married at the beautiful Singleton Lodge, which is one of my favourite wedding venues and on the wedding morning I arrived at Amy’s house bright and early to get all the girls ready.
On our consultation months back, Amy had expressed how she wanted a natural feel throughout her wedding, and this theme to follow with her makeup and hair.
Amy had a beautiful beaded hair band that she planned on wearing, so wanted her up-do to tie in perfectly with this as it was to be the showstopper of the hairstyle.
We decided together on a curled style with natural volume at the nape of the neck…she didn’t want to detract from her gorgeous hair accessory.
Amy’s makeup was kept beautifully natural and simple.
Definition on the eyes was kept simple, with a thin line of MAC gel liner and some individual lashes, barely there pinky cheeks gave a natural glow and a nude lip by L’oreal kept within her soft makeup style.
Amy’s lovely bridesmaids had a relaxed plait over the head, with the rest sculpted into a ‘messy’ tousled bun. This helped to give that relaxed ‘bohemian’ feel that carried strongly through Amy’s wedding.
These beautiful images perfectly capture Amy’s magical day…the photography was taken by the very talented Ian Brookes at www.ianbrooksphotography.co.uk
Amy’s naturally stunning wedding flowers were made by The Flower Barrow in Poulton.
I would really recommend Ian Brookes if you are looking to get married within Lancashire, lovely guy and some really gorgeous shots….thank you Ian for the use of your images.
It was such a pleasure to get to know Amy and her family, wishing you a lifetime of happiness together and I’m sure I’ll be seeing Amy and her lovely mum in the near future! X
